How simulations can help students

Many of us have different definitions of simulation. The definition there is predominantly on my mind is a process sports technology That can replicate a function in a virtual environment or a computer-based technology.

I would like for you to join me on a journey two link simulation technology to education.  How we can better develop instructional programs.

  1. Walter,
I enjoyed watching one way Purdue University has implemented simulation in their pharmaceutical training. Go Boilers! Sorry I had to throw that in their because I am a Hoosier and grew up 30 miles from Purdue. I think this technology can greatly benefit education, especially in those professions that require a high level of skill and precision to perform. I think simulation would be advantageous even in many K-12 scenarios to help students work through problems and various scenarios. Instructional designers should consider how to incorporate simulation into the curriculum they design. I feel like simulation can go along way to help students develop critical and creative thinking skills in stressful scenarios and environments. I enjoy reading your blog and learning about how simulations are being used in both military and education currently. I look forward to learning more. Great post.
