How simulations can help students
Many of us have different definitions of simulation. The
definition there is predominantly on my mind is a process sports technology That
can replicate a function in a virtual environment or a computer-based technology.
I would like for you to join me on a journey two link
simulation technology to education. How
we can better develop instructional programs.
Walter,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed watching one way Purdue University has implemented simulation in their pharmaceutical training. Go Boilers! Sorry I had to throw that in their because I am a Hoosier and grew up 30 miles from Purdue. I think this technology can greatly benefit education, especially in those professions that require a high level of skill and precision to perform. I think simulation would be advantageous even in many K-12 scenarios to help students work through problems and various scenarios. Instructional designers should consider how to incorporate simulation into the curriculum they design. I feel like simulation can go along way to help students develop critical and creative thinking skills in stressful scenarios and environments. I enjoy reading your blog and learning about how simulations are being used in both military and education currently. I look forward to learning more. Great post.
